Chole masala recipe

This is very tasty Indian Chole Masala recipe This Chole Masala recipe is very tasty and very easy to cook at home.

Ingredients

  • Chick peas – 250 gm (soak in normal water for 7-8 hours or overnight)
  • Chopped Onion – 4 medium
  • Chopped tomato – 2 (large)
  • Chopped ginger – 2 inch
  • Garlic cloves(peeled) – 10-12
  • Whole garam masala(bay leaves,black cardamom, green cardamom, cinnamon,mace)- 2 pcs each
  • Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Red chili powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Chole masale – 1.5 tsp
  • Cooking oil – 4-5 tsp
  • Coriander leaves – 1/3 cup
  • Salt to taste

Direction

First of all put ginger , garlic and onion in the grinding jar and grind it into smooth paste. Add some water if needed. Once the paste is ready take it out from the jar.

Now put the tomato in the grinding jar and grind it into paste (do not add water).




Now turn on the flame , heat a pressure cooker pan. Add oil and let it heat properly.Once the oil heated , add all whole garam masala and cumin seed and  fry it for 20 seconds on medium flame.

After 20 seconds reduce the flame to low and add turmeric powder and red chili powder and cook it for 10 seconds on low flame. 

After 10 seconds add ginger , garlic and onion paste, mix it well and cover the lid(without whistle) and cook it for one minute on medium flame.

After 1 minute add cumin powder,coriander powder and chole masale , mix it well, Now cover the lid( without whistle)  and cook it for 1/2 minute  on medium flame. After 1/2 minute open the lid and  stir it. Now add tomato paste and mix it properly and cook it for more 1 minute.

Now add soaked chickpeas and mix it well and cook it for one minute.


Add 1.5 glass of water , garam masala powder and salt to taste ,close the lid of pressure cooker properly and cook it for 5 whistle on low medium flame. After 5 whistle , turn off the flame and let the pressure cooker cool down compleatly.  Once the pressure cooker cools down Open it carefully and stir it.

Now check the chola cooked properly or not. If it cooked properly granished it with coriander leaves.


TADAA CHOLE MASALA IS READY.YOU CAN SERVE IT WITH KULCHA
