Motichoor Laddu Recipe | How to make motichoor laddu | Best Recipe

This is very tasty  Indian Motichoor Laddu Recipe. This Motichoor Laddu Recipe is very tasty and very easy to cook at home.


Preparation – 10 minutes

Cook – 20 minutes 

Ready In – 30 minutes 

Serve for – 4 peoples


  • Gram flour(besan) – 1/2 cup
  • Sugar – 1/2 cup
  • Ghee/Oil – 250gm
  • Food color(orange) – 1/3 tsp
  • Baking soda – 1/4 tsp 
  • Water – 1/4 cup
  • Almond(chopped) – 4 


First  of all take a mixing bowl , Add gram flour and baking soda and mix it well.

Now add water and make semi thick batter.

(note:- do not  make the batter too thin) 

Add food color and mix it well or you may use hand blander for smooth batter.

Now turn on the flame and heat a kadhai (pan)  and add ghee. Now heat ghee on a high flame.

Once the ghee heated  reduce the flame to medium

Now add few drop of batter in ghee to check the temperature. If the temperature okay then take out the boondis from pan.

Now take one frying spoon in one hand and pour the batter by another hand. 


 Now fry the boondis for few second and keep flipping. Once it is fried properly , take it out from the ghee and repeat the process to make remaining boondis.

Once the boondis is prepared, turn on the flame and heat a pan on low medium flame and add 1/2 cup sugar and 1/4 cup water. Let the sugar dissolve, keep stiring and cook the syrup for 2-3 minutes on low medium flame.

After 3 minutes add boondis into the syrup and mix it well. cook the boondis for 8-10 minutes in sugar syrup( low flame) and keep stirring in between.

After 10 minutes turn off the gas and let the boondis cools down. Once the mixture cools down , start making laddu.

Take small portion mixture and roll it into laddu and than repeat the process to make remaining laddu and use chopped almonds for decoration.

TADA laddu is ready to serve..
