Schezwan Sauce recipe

This is very tasty and spicy  Indian-Chinese Schezwan Sauce recipe and Schezwan Sauce is very easy to cook at home.


Preparation – 30 minutes

Cook in – 15 minutes

Ready in – 45 minutes


⦁ Dry red chilli – 50gm (medium spicy)

⦁ Garlic cloves( finely chopped) – 15pieces

⦁ Ginger (finely chopped) – 3 inch

⦁ Tomato sauce – 2 tsp

⦁ Soy sauce – 2 tsp

⦁ Vinegar – 1/4 cup

⦁ Salt – 1.5 tsp

⦁ Oil – 1/2 cup (cooking oil)


First of all soak the dry red chilli in water for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes put the soaked dry red chilli in grinding jar and grind it into paste. Add little water if needed and grind it again.

Once the chilli paste ready take it out in a bowl.

Now turn on the flame and heat the pan. Add oil and let it heat properly than add garlic and ginger and fry it for a minute on medium flame. After 1 minute reduce the flame to low and add red chilli paste and mix it well.


Now cover the pan and cook it 5-7 minutes on low flame. After 5-7 minute remove cover and stir it and 1/2 cup water on it and stir it. Now add 2 tsp  soy sauce, 2 tsp tomato sauce,1/4 cup vinegar and 1.5 tsp salt and mix it well. 

Now cover the pan  and cook it for 15 minutes on low flame. After 15 minutes open the lid and stir it. The sauce is ready, turn off the flame and let it cool down compleatly.

TADA Schezwan Sauce  is ready.. take it out on a bowl/jar.
